To understand the Heralds of War History one must fist know that The Heralds of War is a fusion of cultures and peoples from different areas of the world. Initially in the year 2000 two games of particular interest were released.
First, Jumpgate: The The Reconstruction Initiative and later in 2001 Dark Age of Camalot (DAOC) was released. In these two games, two main guilds arose.
The first, The Milk Runners (led by the late D Persona) which was an alpha development guild in Jumpgate. As soon as Jumpgate was officially released, the Milk Runners was disbanded (because it was a GM development guild) and the inhabitants of that guild who were not employed by Netdevil joined QUIT (quantar universal independent traders). A year or so later those member broke off and eventually joined UZI (Universal Zealots Inc.) where they stayed for almost 3 years until Starwars Galaxies was released in 2003, and at that time UZI expanded into Starwars, and took the majority of its members with. A few members stayed behind, and carried the UZI banner. Eventually those few broke off and formed the Jumpgate squad Nuclear Titans. The members that did join UZI:SWG played until about 2004, when (due to some controversial changes to the game) a group of members broke off from UZI and created Vae Victis; Namely Vaedryl, Netcrawl, Catram, Loloth, Nethound and Arkovabe.
The second game that came out in 2000-2001 was DAOC, and in it, the Heralds of War, led by Vaedryl, Catram and Dageran. “For those of you who don`t know where the name “Heralds of War " came from. It first started in Dark Age of Camelot eons ago with Vaedryl, Dagerarn and Catram [back in 2001]. Since we were only 3 of us and we wanted a guild sooo bad, we were all standing in the middle of the city of Camelot asking people to help us start a guild, we even went as far as paying some of them to join us for guild creation only... After a while, DAoC faded from view and Vaedryl, Dagerarn, Catram and Oli ( Loloth ) started playing Star Wars Galaxies.” (Vaedryl)
It is in SWG that the two groups finally made their collision and created the guild Vae victis; a combination of members from the Jumpgate squads UZI, and QUIT, and the DAOC Guild Heralds of War. The guild Vae victus reined in SWG from 2004-2005. In 2005 World of Warcraft came out and the guild was again reunited under the name Heralds of War, our current name.
Since that time, Heralds of War has played every major MMO to hit the market including World of Warcraft, Tabula Rasa, Hellgate:London, and Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, Everquest and Everquest 2, and soon Jumpgate: Evolution, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. Heralds of war is a Massive Multiplayer Role Playing Guild. Look for us in game or chat with us on teamspeak.

Guild Charter
2011.2.21.19:56.5 |
The Heralds of War is pleased to accept any member into our guild, provided you can abide by the following:
By Joining Heralds of War you are accepting the responsibilities of a member of our guild. We will do anything in our power to help you, but ask you do the same for other members of the guild. We like to focus on a good gaming community, and are interested in people of good quality, morals and character (aka. Mature Gamers). We do not have an age requirement to join (mainly because I know 12 year olds more mature than some 30 year olds).
Loot:
We are pretty loose in terms of loot in game. If something drops, and you will use it, chances are you`ll get it. Many of our members are well geared and will pass on most loot.
We usually do ALL loot on a need basis first, even if you have gotten several items out of an instance.
Focus (Instances):
We focus on all aspects of the games we play. We try to emphasize running tight small groups for fun and enjoyment. We also like to get gear/upgrades, to make these runs more enjoyable.
We raid/group some instances with several other guilds and encourage inter-guild participation/raiding and grouping.
Ranks:
Our rank structure can be viewed on our web site, and there are specific goals one should strive for in each rank. These are detailed in the Rank List. Advancement in ranks is detailed there as well. |
